After a week of release the movie is flying high on box office. Most of the major reviewer community has given a thumbs up to the movie. Captain Marvel is one of the most important link between Avengers Infinity War and the Avengers End Game. Will Thanos be defeated in the next movie? Spiderman, Doctor Strange and many of them had been turned into ashes and disappeared but will they return? There are lots of question but some of them might be answered through the analysis of this movie. Let's summaries the movie first and then we shall further study about other reviews.
Set
in the 1990s, Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure
from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic
Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of
the universe's most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two
alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of
allies at the center of the maelstrom.
Critics Reviews
1. The Verge - As the first female-led Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Captain Marvel
is arriving in theaters under a heavy burden of expectations. Even
after years of fans clamoring for a Black Widow standalone movie, it
took a full decade and 20 MCU films for the franchise to produce a
single movie with a woman protagonist. And it took the example of rival
studio DC Entertainment releasing Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman to both critical and monetary success. That gives Captain Marvel
the triple challenge of living up to past MCU films, proving a
female-led movie can make the company money, and squaring off against
one of DC’s biggest hits. Read full from here.
2. IGN - The MCU's newest hero, Captain Marvel,
has entered the fray literally swinging, with a cosmic-flavored origin
story that feels like a much-needed fresh approach to the classic Marvel
Phase One formula. With a soundtrack packed full of vintage ‘90s
earworms and a delightfully unselfconscious sense of humor, Captain
Marvel pulls off a satisfying introduction to the hero who may be our
Avengers: Endgame trump card.Read full from here.
However, the same doesn't go with everyone. The critics has given positive reviews but most of the audience didn't like the movie. Some of the audience review are as follows.
Audience Reviews
1. Boltar Carvanaugh - This movie is great fun and I'm gonna watch it a second time for
sure. My expectations were really high and it matched them. Brie Larson
plays a refreshingly unpretentious Carol Danvers, much more like a
Guardian Of The Galaxy rather than an Avenger.
2. Absolian - Only reason i gave this
move 1/10 and not 0/10 is for the stan lee tribute, other than that
awful movie not worth the time let along the 15$ ticket.
3. Sallyholmes - I am really disappointed. Expected some kind of, or more of
connection with Endgame Avengers. Brie Larsen it's not suitable for the
role and the character of captain Marvel is very flat written. The film
feels overall cheap.
So the movie has a mixed reaction but audience seems to be disappointed at this point. Which leads all of us to a conclusion that the End Game is going to be more epic and the eagerness and hype for it is going to increase day by day.
